As our therapy programs continue to expand, we're looking for a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehab team.

Position Summary

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll work closely with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to help residents maximize independence, improve daily function, and reach their rehabilitation goals.

You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while delivering personalized treatment programs that truly improve lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
  • Provide skilled therapy interventions focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, safety, and functional independence
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation and progress notes
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care planning, and rehabilitation conferences
  • Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety strategies
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Support positive resident outcomes and exceptional customer service

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current South Carolina COTA license in good standing
  • Sensory-based therapy experience required
  • Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for helping residents achieve meaningful outcomes
