Costume Assistant, SC1COSTUMPARTS (FA26)

Student Worker Eligibility:

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.

If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist theater staff.

Take care of costumes: laundry, pressing, steaming, minor sewing repairs, wig touch-ups, assisting actors with costume changes for performances, problem solving, tracking the costumes and costume props for every show and organization of dressing room areas.

Qualifications:

  • Education
  • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
  • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
  • Experience
  • Basic sewing, makeup, hair styling required.
  • Must have transportation to get to the theater for evening and weekend dress rehearsals and performances required.
  • Must be dependable required.
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • COD Training
  • Compliance Training

Working Conditions:

Hours: Weekends, evenings and possibly some hours during the week.

This student position does not require pre-employment testing.

Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
