Job Summary
The Assistant Finance Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the Accounts Receivable team while taking ownership of the company's standard costing and financial analysis. Working closely with the Finance Manager, this position oversees period-end closing, manufacturing performance reporting, and credit control while ensuring robust internal controls.
Job Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control:
Lead the AR and Credit Control team to ensure smooth credit operations and healthy cash flow.
Standard Costing:
Manage and update standard costing on a quarterly basis, coordinating cross-functionally with relevant operational departments.
Period-End Closing:
Assist the Finance Manager in month-end/period-end closing activities, including journal reviews and costing settlements.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly P&L by channel, as well as monthly manufacturing reports (including margin overheads and production variances).
New Product Development (NPD):
Perform P&L simulations and financial modeling for prospective product launches.
Taxation & Compliance:
Support the Finance Manager in gathering and compiling data for Transfer Pricing documentation.
Planning & Audit:
Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and liaising with internal and external auditors for compliance requests.
Internal Controls:
Maintain strong internal control standards and drive continuous process improvements within the finance function.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
Minimum 3 years of cost accounting and general accounting experience; background in FMCG or manufacturing is highly preferred.
Solid working knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in SAP is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
