Role Description

As a Cost Manager within our Lenders & Investors team, based in Dublin, Ireland, you will provide independent cost management services that support investment decisions and help safeguard client interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with lenders, investors, project teams and contractors, you will assess, monitor and report on project costs, ensuring transparency, financial control and effective risk management. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex developments across sectors including data centres, energy centres, biotech and semiconductor facilities.

We are looking for a commercially minded Cost Manager with strong experience in MEP and technical engineering projects, particularly within electrically intensive environments, who is confident working in a client-facing consultancy role.

Role Accountabilities

• Develop, review and manage cost plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Carry out independent valuations and cost assessments on behalf of lenders and investors.
• Monitor project expenditure, identify cost risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare clear and accurate financial reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors and financial stakeholders to ensure robust cost control and reporting.
• Support due diligence, feasibility studies and investment appraisals.
• Provide cost management expertise on technically complex projects, including data centres, energy centres, biotech and semiconductor facilities.
• Review and assess costs associated with MEP packages, electrical systems and specialist engineering works.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism and client service.

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Strong experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience delivering cost management services on MEP and technically complex engineering projects.
• A strong understanding of electrical systems and associated construction packages.
• Knowledge of lender and investor requirements, procurement routes, contracts and risk management.
• Experience within the Irish construction market and a sound understanding of the relevant regulatory environment.

Experience working on data centres, energy centres, biotech or semiconductor projects, together with professional accreditation such as MRICS, would be advantageous.
