Manages the Project Controls function of assigned area of responsibility, typically a large Mining Project. Develops, manages, and executes all phases of the project cost controls effort for assigned projects. Utilizes widely diversified knowledge of project controls activities, and draws upon his/her extensive experience and exposure to various types of projects and clients to improve effectiveness of operating procedures. Provides specialized assistance and guidance to site project controls teams for the resolution of difficult and complex project cost control reporting problems. Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports. Participates in a team of Project Control Experts who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedules. Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes for cost . Reviews the mitigating measures, recommended by the project management team and provides his/her own input and recommendations on regular basis. Develops and performs presentations on a regular basis as required to senior management of both Fluor and the client. Oversees the implementation and maintenance of project controls monitoring tools and systems. Keeps project and company management fully informed. Other duties as assigned.
Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the advance level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
