We are seeking an experienced and analytical Cost Lead Engineer to join our organization in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will lead cost management initiatives, drive financial efficiency across engineering projects, and provide strategic direction to cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for analyzing project costs, optimizing budgets, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of engineering solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

  • Lead and manage cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control activities for multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Develop comprehensive cost models and financial forecasts using advanced analytical tools and methodologies
  • Analyze project variances and identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization and resource efficiency
  • Mentor and supervise junior cost engineers and support staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish realistic budgets and cost baselines
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and prepare detailed cost reports for senior management
  • Implement and maintain cost management systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with organizational standards
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for engineering proposals and capital investment decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce project costs
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and financial controls throughout all cost management processes

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in cost engineering, project cost management, or financial analysis
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing technical teams
  • Advanced proficiency in cost analysis, budget management, and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and cost management software
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification
  • Experience with cost modeling software and advanced Excel applications
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement techniques
  • Background in oil and gas, manufacturing, or construction industries
  • Experience working in the Middle East or similar regional markets
  • Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools
