Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cost Engineering Support professional to provide critical administrative, financial, and project controls support for large-scale capital projects. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of project finances, contract administration, risk management, invoice processing, and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for project teams and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work closely with Cost Managers, Project Managers, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to support project delivery objectives through effective financial and administrative controls.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts & Change Management

  • Maintain and update tracking logs for contracts, funding allocations, Potential Change Orders (PCOs), and Change Orders (COs).
  • Initiate and coordinate approval workflows for contracts and project changes.
  • Perform budget and funding audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and proactively resolve workflow bottlenecks affecting approval processes.
  • Support project teams with contract administration activities and documentation management.

Risk & Issue Tracking

  • Participate in project budget and cost review meetings to capture and document project risks and issues.
  • Log, categorize, and assess risk items within project management systems.
  • Track project defects, equipment issues, and other cost-impacting items.
  • Coordinate with project teams to maintain current and accurate risk registers.
  • Generate and distribute weekly risk status reports and facilitate updates on open action items.

Invoice & Payment Application Management

  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely submission of invoices and payment applications.
  • Verify billing documentation against contractual requirements and project milestones.
  • Monitor invoice approval workflows and follow up with stakeholders to minimize processing delays.
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and payment-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Project Closeout

  • Manage project closeout dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Execute financial and administrative closeout activities in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all contracts, invoices, change orders, and financial records are properly reconciled and archived.
  • Support lessons learned and project documentation initiatives during project completion.

Reporting & Dashboard Management

  • Prepare weekly and monthly status reports covering contracts, budget changes, risks, invoices, and project controls activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards that provide visibility into project financial performance.
  • Audit data across multiple systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support leadership teams with project performance reporting and ad hoc analyses.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in project controls, cost engineering support, contract administration, project administration, finance, procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting large capital projects, construction, engineering, infrastructure, mining, energy, or industrial projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience with contract management, invoice processing, budgeting, and reporting activities.
