• Develop robust cost models using and serve as a technical authority for complex or ambiguous costing challenges
• Lead cost engineering initiatives for NPI programs from concept through production ramp
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers on design trade-offs, feasible manufacturing strategies and material costs
• Partner with sourcing and supplier teams to validate supplier cost structures, support negotiation strategies, and develop/improve cost models
• Provide organizational and capability leadership through mentorship, best practice establishment and creation of reusable models, cost libraries, and commodity insights
• Present to peer and executive levels on assessments, findings and recommendations

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field with 15 years experience; or 12 years experience with a Master's degree; or 8 years experience with a Ph.D; or equivalent years experience in a similiar role without a degree.

  • Experience working directly with engineering teams on product design; Technical drawing comprehension
  • Supplier-facing experience including RFQ support, cost validation, and negotiation
  • Experience with costing tools (e.g., aPriori) combined with strong manual costing capability
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without authority
  • Strong communication skills—able to translate complex cost analysis into actionable decisions
  • Demonstrated accountability and proactive problem-solving in ambiguous environments

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in or deep knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, Semiconductor Equipment Operations, or related industries
• Strong background in Design for Cost (DFC) and value engineering
• Experience supporting NPI programs
• Knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures
