About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join the Infrastructure Facilities team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining consistent cost management processes across Infrastructure portfolios, ensuring strong financial control, transparency, and compliance with governance requirements. You will provide hands-on cost control support across the Facilities works program, partnering with delivery, portfolio, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standardised cost control procedures, templates, coding, and reporting to support consistent portfolio-wide cost management and escrow compliance.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports across the Facilities portfolio to support asset and delivery decision-making.
  • Work closely with Delivery and Portfolio Managers to align work breakdown structures, forecasting methods, and reporting with wider business standards.
  • Monitor budgets, expenditure, and forecasts, providing clear insights, variance analysis, and timely updates to support informed decision-making.
  • Produce consolidated monthly cost, budget, and forecast reports for Facilities Delivery Management and Infrastructure Finance.
  • Support contract financial management, including progress claims, tender evaluations, change assessments, accruals, and project cost close-out.
  • Ensure compliance with finance, governance, and audit requirements, including accurate cost allocation, invoicing, and reporting.

About You

  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar, with a professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance, cost control, business administration, or contract administration.
  • Solid experience using cost control systems and financial reporting tools, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders across a large organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data, forecasts, and earned value metrics.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate for effective commercial outcomes.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
