Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You

Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotel team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a Cost Controller cum General Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the hotel’s financial operations. Working closely with key departments, you will oversee cost control processes, monitor inventory movements across receiving and storerooms, manage daily cash handling activities, and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting.

This dual-role position combines operational cost management with cashiering responsibilities, helping to safeguard the hotel’s assets while supporting sound financial decision-making. Beyond the numbers, you are an important part of creating exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency that keep our hotel running seamlessly.

You're not just managing costs and cash flow. You're contributing to the light and warmth of hospitality that makes every guest stay memorable.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

  • Cost Control & Inventory Management: Monitor food, beverage, and operating supply costs by reviewing receiving records, inventory movements, store requisitions, and stock variances. Conduct periodic stock counts and ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Cashiering & Cash Management: Manage daily cash collections, petty cash, cash floats, and banking activities. Ensure all cash transactions are properly documented, reconciled, and deposited in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare daily and monthly cost reports, cash summaries, and reconciliation schedules. Investigate discrepancies and work closely with relevant departments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Finance, Purchasing, Receiving, Food & Beverage, and Operational teams to support effective cost management and smooth day-to-day hotel operations.
  • Records & Compliance Management: Maintain accurate financial, inventory, and cash handling records. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, auditing requirements, and established financial procedures.
  • Risk & Asset Protection: Safeguard the hotel's financial assets by ensuring proper controls over cash, inventory, and stock movements. Promote accountability and adherence to established procedures to minimize losses and operational risks.

At Hilton, our core values define what it takes to succeed here and guide the qualities we look for in every team member:

A passion for spreading the light and warmth of Hospitality. Acting with Integrity and always doing the right thing. Inspiring others through Leadership.
