Are you a finance professional who loves to get under the hood of a business and turn complex data into a clear roadmap? This role is a perfect blend of high-level business partnering and analytical precision, offering you the chance to be the financial compass for our key SAR-supported functions.

The SAR Cost Controller & Analyst provides hands-on financial controlling and business partnering support to SAR-supported functions. The role focuses on cost control, analysis, and execution of core finance processes, ensuring accurate reporting, effective planning, and strong cost discipline. The position actively supports decision-making and drives continuous improvement in financial processes.

Financial Business Partnering & Analysis

  • Act as a hands-on Finance Business Partner to Function Leads.
  • Analyze cost drivers at cost center and department level and explain results clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Provide practical financial advice on costs, consulting spend, FTEs, Capex, and projects.
  • Identify cost risks and optimization opportunities and propose corrective actions.
  • Support Outlook, Target, and Budget cycles, including variance analysis and financial commentary.
  • Prepare proactive financial analyses to support management decision-making.

Process & Cost Control

  • Execute and control month-end close activities (accruals, reclassifications, allocations, FTE postings).
  • Review actuals vs. Target/Outlook, investigate variances, and communicate key drivers.
  • Manage cost center and FTE planning during planning cycles.
  • Support Capex controlling, business cases, and capitalization activities where required.
  • Monitor data quality, identify issues and trends, and ensure timely corrections.
  • Support audits, projects, and M&A/divestment activities as needed.
  • Track project budgets, monitor spend, and ensure financial compliance.
  • Contribute to process improvements and simplification initiatives.

Digitalization & Process Improvement

  • Support digitalization and automation of controlling and reporting activities.
  • Identify and implement simple process improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Promote standardization and best practices across SAR finance processes.
  • AI-affine: leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics (where available) to enhance insights, detect anomalies, and improve controlling efficiency.
  • Actively support change initiatives, adopting new tools and ways of working.
