Job Title: Cost Control Specialist

Position Responsibilities

of responsibilities include estimating costs for new products, tracking of current product costs, collection of cost reimbursements, and leading internal cost reduction activities.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Submit the cost management data to management for decision-making and to inform our customer of the cost data to ask for benefit recovery.

1. Calculate estimated cost data for new products against the target.
2. Track reimbursement information for new products.
3. Summarize cost impact information for Engineering Change Information (ECI’s).
4. Summarize and track Request Sheet for Production Method of Examination (RSPME).

• Manage the cost system control tools.

1. Update the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system standard costs as needed (route/structure).
2. Maintain the estimation cost for new products.
3. Maintain basic unit costs following operation budget control (accuracy etc.).

• Lead and organize cost reduction activities.

1. Set cost targets and promote the reduction activities.
2. Work with the design group to achieve VA ideas.

• Prepare and submit quotations for service parts, prototype parts, and other special requests.
• Train other ADI members about the cost control system.
• Prepare USMCA (United States-Mexico-Cana da Agreement) calculation.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting, VA/VE activities.
• Ability to communicate to internal and external contacts, both verbal and written...
• Ability to give formal presentations.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to perform occasional lifting and ergonomic movements (i.e. – twisting, turning, reaching, bending).

Education/Training/Certifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
