Job Description

Join a fast-paced transformation team modernizing how trading costs are controlled, analyzed, and allocated. You’ll partner closely with Markets, Operations, Finance, and Technology to deliver measurable change. This role offers high visibility, complex data challenges, and tangible impact across the trade lifecycle.

As an Associate in Cost & Commission Services – Digital Transformation (CCS), you deliver front-to-back, data-intensive initiatives that improve transparency, controls, and cost outcomes across FICC OTC and Equities. You translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications and actionable delivery artifacts for technology teams. You lead testing and releases, ensuring accurate calculations, reconciliations, and downstream consumption across stakeholders and platforms.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of initiatives across FICC OTC (FFX, FXO, CDS, IRD) and Cash Equities
  • Partner with Business, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Technology to align scope, outcomes, and timelines
  • Elicit complex front-to-back requirements and document them as functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate business processes into data models and control-oriented workflows to support transparency and allocation
  • Leverage SQL, Alteryx, and AI tools to validate large datasets, reconcile outputs, and investigate exceptions
  • Analyze anomalies and trends to identify root causes and recommend sustainable process or control fixes
  • Manage JIRA backlogs, sprint ceremonies, dashboards, and delivery artifacts to support iterative execution
  • Coordinate UAT planning, test scenario design, execution, and sign-off with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Validate calculation logic, reconciliation results, and downstream impacts across consuming systems and reports
  • Execute production release readiness, cutover support, and post-release stabilization activities
  • Improve manual processes through automation-focused design and operational risk reduction initiatives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bring 6+ years of experience in banking or financial services
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of FICC OTC products (FFX, FXO, CDS, IRD) and Cash Equities
  • Explain the front-to-back trade lifecycle, including fees, reconciliations, and exception management
  • Apply Agile and Waterfall delivery methods using JIRA and related delivery tools
  • Elicit and document complex business and functional requirements with precision and structure
  • Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, data models, and testable acceptance criteria
  • Execute UAT by designing scenarios and validating data outputs and calculation results

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Produce status reports, RAID logs, RACI matrices, and executive-ready summaries
  • Collaborate with Engineering on data models, automation design, and platform/UI improvements
  • Demonstrate intermediate MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Use SQL to query, reconcile, and validate large-scale trade and reporting datasets
  • Apply tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and AI-enabled automation solutions to scale analysis and controls
  • Understand scalable fintech/data architectures that support cross-asset transparency and analytics
  • Hold project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM (or equivalent)
