The Cost & Price Intern will be responsible for supporting proposal development by preparing competitive pricing strategies, analyzing cost data, and ensuring compliance with company and client requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn the fundamentals of cost and price analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing proposal pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze cost data from internal departments and external sources.
  • Prepare pricing summaries, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation for proposal submissions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, finance, and business development teams to align pricing with strategic goals.
  • Conduct market research to benchmark pricing against industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline pricing processes.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is highly preferred, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of cost and pricing analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and cost structures.
