MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented COST ANALYST to join our team in STAFFORD, VA.

This is a hybrid remote position with occasional meetings in Stafford, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with government customers and technical leads to obtain and define DoD purchasing requirements.
  • Partner with corporate buyers to request, gather, and evaluate vendor quotes and timelines for procurement requests.
  • Manage Excel-based financial workbooks to track purchase costs, forecast revenue recognition timing, and assign expenses to program funding lines.
  • Prepare purchase request packages and obtain formal customer approval prior to initiating orders.
  • Pull financial reports and reconcile program expenses to ensure accurate cost tracking and budget alignment.
  • Support routine audit requests and ensure procurement documentation complies with corporate and DoD purchasing policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain. High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of related experience
  • Basic understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) purchasing processes, financial management, or procurement principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking, data entry, and cost reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and government customers.
  • High level of organizational skill and attention to detail when tracking multiple purchase requests simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship or entry-level experience supporting DoD procurement, purchasing, or financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) principles or government contracting procedures.
  • Experience using intermediate Excel functions, such as pivot tables, lookup formulas, and financial tracking templates.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance within one year of hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.


The projected compensation range for this position is $52,700.00-$87,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
