An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially minded Cost Accountant to join a fast-growing manufacturing and operational environment. You will play a key role in understanding, analysing, and improving the financial performance of production operations while partnering closely with factory and operational teams to drive efficiencies, profitability, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Analyse and report on product, production, and operational costs
• 
  Develop and maintain accurate costing models and product costing structures
• 
  Monitor manufacturing variances and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• 
  Partner with operational and production teams to improve efficiencies and profitability
• 
  Conduct margin analysis and provide commercial insights to management
• 
  Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• 
  Prepare management reports and financial analyses for senior leadership
• 
  Monitor inventory valuation, stock movements, and cost allocations
• 
  Support month-end reporting and reconciliations
• 
  Assist in developing financial controls and reporting processes as the business continues to grow
• 
  Participate in operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Requirements

• 
  CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent finance qualification
• 
  1–6 years' relevant experience in a costing, manufacturing, operational finance, or management accounting environment
• 
  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• 
  Advanced Excel skills
• 
  Experience working closely with operational teams
• 
  Ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights
• 
  Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
