Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Day to Day Responsibility

- Maintain daily costing activities, prepare monthly cost analysis and margin analysis on variances, scrap ratio, etc. for management team and identify the cost improvement opportunities including materials, labor and factory overhead
- Be responsible for monthly closing on costing, variance allocation, inventory, general ledger, P&L, etc. to make sure close on time and the accuracy
- Lead the monthly cycle count and annual stocktaking
- Prepare the monthly performance, consolidation and cost saving reports accurately and on time
- Comply with Corning policy and SOX requirement
- Monitor spending and works with department managers to control costs. Researches and provides detail on expense variances
- Drive finance process improvement
- Provides financial analysis related to capital projects, cost reduction, and other initiatives as required
- Prepare monthly financial reports for division and plant
- Ad-hoc assignment by the supervisor.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor and /or above
- Major in finance, accounting, or related fields
- CICPA / ACCA is prefer

Required Skills. Competencies, or Certification

Required by Legal or QEHS:

- Know EHS relevant law and regulations
- Obey all company EHS rules (Include: Policy, Procedure, SOP and other requirements).


Competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors)
- At least 3 years working experiences in MNC is must
- Previous experience in manufacturing costing or audit firm is preferred
- Strong financial analytical skills
- Solid knowledge on PRC GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
- Solid knowledge of using an ERP system, QAD / SAP is preferred
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- Good communication skill and team spirit, accountable and responsible
