The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all 2-way, dispatch and communication equipment on site.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance activities assigned by the Site Services Supervisor in accordance with safe work procedures and workshop standards.
• Identify and resolve issues associated with breakdown/corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
• Complete all services and other job-related paperwork to a high standard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in troubleshooting, installation and repair of vhf, uhf radio systems, wireless networking systems to component level preferred
• Familiarity with basic network concepts (TCP/IP, Subnets, IP) preferred
• Mechanical or electrical trades experience in a mining or manufacturing environment preferred
• Proven organizational and computer skills preferred
• Electronics background preferred
• Must be a self-starter with ability to follow direction required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment required
• Good communications skills required
• Proven safe work record required
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role. required
