Job Description

At TAL, we’re committed to protecting what matters most for our customers, and clear, reliable communications play a critical role in that promise. As Correspondence Governance Manager, you’ll help strengthen the governance and oversight that underpins TAL’s customer correspondence and mandatory communications, ensuring they are delivered with care, confidence and compliance. Working within the Customer Marketing and Transformation team, this role supports TAL’s ability to meet important regulatory obligations while enabling trusted, consistent experiences for customers across our Direct and Retail brands. It’s a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the integrity of how TAL communicates, supporting better outcomes for customers and helping us deliver on our purpose in a highly regulated and evolving environment.

This role could be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

In this role you will:

  • Strengthen governance controls to ensure mandatory customer communications are accurate, compliant and well managed.
  • Oversee Material Service Provider performance to protect service quality, resilience and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain risk visibility through effective reporting, evidence and governance insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Support incident resolution to minimise customer impact and drive sustainable remediation outcomes.
  • Enable audit readiness by maintaining clear controls, documentation and evidence across correspondence activity.
  • Identify cost and service improvement opportunities while safeguarding compliance, quality and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bring 2+ years’ experience in governance, risk, compliance, operations or supplier management, ideally in financial services or insurance.
  • Apply working knowledge of regulatory obligations, including CPS 230, customer communications requirements and relevant privacy considerations.
  • Manage third-party or Material Service Provider relationships with confidence, including performance, contract and due diligence activities.
  • Use a structured, detail-oriented approach to documentation, evidence management, reporting and process control.
  • Build effective relationships across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance and external suppliers to support strong governance outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and manage competing priorities to deliver accurate governance materials on time.
