Job Description

The Corrective Action Program (CAP) Lead Specialist is responsible for facilitating the Condition Reporting (CR) process from initiation to closure of the condition reports as a member of the Condition Review Group. In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, in this position you will ensure our business has a Corrective Action Program that integrates into and supports overall performance improvement of the nuclear business.

Member of the Condition Review Group oversight team which ensures the business CAP supports overall performance improvement of the nuclear business. Essential elements and characteristics of the Corrective Action Program are delineated in the INPO document, “Principles for Effective Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Programs”, December 1999 and further reinforced in INPO 05-005, INPO 07-007, and Technical Report NEI 16-07.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional reviews for screening and assignment of identified conditions and trending of data.

  • Perform Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)

  • Perform Nonconformance Assessments (NCAs)

  • Perform condition report closure reviews

  • Perform trending focused on identifying inter-departmental and cross-functional trends.

  • Support CAP system improvement projects as needed to support the most efficient and effective process. (Gensuite & DevonWay)

  • Serve as CAP System Administrator for general role access

  • Manage and monitor CAP training assignments for nuclear employees and contractors as required (General CAP Oversight, RM training, CRG, CAP Leadership Oversight Group, and CARB)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 year degree from an accredited university.

  • Five or more years of experience working in the nuclear industry, or other highly regulated industry.

  • 1 year of experience working with power industry corrective action programs

  • Ability to operate a computer

Desired Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering or a related technical field

  • Understanding of nuclear safety culture traits as defined by the NRC and INPO 12-012.

  • Familiarity with nuclear regulatory environments and safety culture expectations. Strong commitment to nuclear safety culture and quality excellence.

  • Proven leadership or influencing experience in a matrixed environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to challenge non-compliance constructively and professionally

  • Familiarity with cause analysis tools such as TapRoot

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $93,500.00 and $155,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
