Examples of duties

This position supports critical operations by guiding inmate workers and maintaining accurate control of materials, supplies, and equipment. As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will perform the following duties:

  • Inmate Oversight: Train and monitor inmate workers in shipping tasks, record keeping, and equipment use
  • Inventory Control: Receive, store, and track materials and prepare requisitions for needed supplies
  • Equipment Operation: Operate vehicles and machinery to move heavy items and support workflow needs
  • Safety Enforcement: Maintain a secure work area, manage tool inventory, and search inmates and workspaces for contraband
  • Reporting Duties: Prepare routine reports related to attendance, production, and inventory activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hour work week
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,524.00 (before taxes).
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

  • You must possess an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
