The Corps Mission Specialist serves as an evangelist to the community and leads in developing pathways to community ministry and discipleship opportunities for adults and youth, provide spiritual guidance. The Corps Mission Specialist will plan, coordinate, administer, monitor, evaluate, and grow the day-to-day operations of Kroc programming in key areas. These areas include but are not limited to Women’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Corps Cadets, Junior Soldiers, Sunday School, Character Building, selected special events, community outreach, community devotions, ministry visitation to name a few. Evangelize through the proclamation of Jesus Christ as Redeemer, with the intent of impacting the lives of men and women through spiritual regeneration. Promote membership into the body of Christ. Assist and partner with the Corps
Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; a passion for evangelism and outreach both personally and a ministry level. Must possess High School diploma or equivalent. Must demonstrate mature Christian character with a passion for mission and youth. Must have 1-2 years of progressive youth ministry leadership experience. Uniformed Salvationist preferred. The successful candidate will possess well developed relational/interpersonal skills. Must be able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment, and balance multiple tasksMust be able to function effectively without supervision. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Possess basic administrative skills which includes familiarity with Microsoft Office programs. Must be a team player. Must be able to work with varied ethnic and socio-economic populations. Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends. Must possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Must have a valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License and the ability to operate required fleet vehicle(s).
Meets Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission Statements of The Salvation Army and the RJKCCC.
