It supports structures from the simplest to the most complex, covering Asset Backed Securities, Mortgage-Backed Securities, CLOs and Managed accounts, Corporate Debt, Escrows, Project Finance, Loan Agency and Depositary Receipts.

  • The Corporate Trust business with TSS is responsible for a broad portfolio of conventional debt and securitization transactions, and service teams are required to engage directly with transaction parties supporting the administration of structured and non-structured debt issuance in accordance with the contractual terms.

  • This role is exciting and broad ranging: the successful candidate will have extensive interaction across the transaction value chain and will be a critical component of the end-to-end service delivery to the client on a day-to-day basis ensuring all requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Duties will include processing client transactions and instructions, maintain internal systems, and produce reports in support of the front office to ensure the client always receives the best possible service.

  • A successful candidate will be required to cover modified New York working hours supporting the Americas MBS/ABS business.

  • Corporate title will depend on the relative experience of candidate.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supporting the Corporate Trust Americas business across a portfolio of Mortgage-Backed and Asset-Backed Securities within Structured Finance

  • Timely completion of client & deal management system records, document handling and revenue management (i.e.: client billing)- always ensuring accuracy of data

  • Processing and settlement of deal-related transactions - including account opening, payments, investments and bondholder distribution payments

  • Interacting with deal parties including mortgage loan servicers, bond insurers and swap counterparties to ensure accurate and timely payment to bondholders on a portfolio of up to 100+ trusts. Additional cash payments to be sent to fulfill our contractual obligations

  • Monitor and reconcile trust accounts, fee billing, and other operational MIS break reports, providing regular feedback to client services management on all outstanding items

  • Respond to daily inquiries from clients, investors, and other deal parties

  • Timely escalation of client or operational problems to team leaders / department head as relevant

  • Supporting fellow team members, team leaders and department head on an ongoing basis

  • Collaborate with team members and management on all ad hoc projects as required

Your skills and experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar role in investment banking or corporate banking administration

  • Experience in ABS/MBS administration

  • A good understanding of the global financial services industry, Fixed income and Debt Capital Markets

  • Familiarity with debt capital markets transaction documentation is advantageous, but not essential

  • A practical knowledge of banking operations and an understanding of FED wires / mutual funds and SWIFT / payment processing

  • Basic accounting knowledge and / or strong reconciliation skills

  • Experience at interacting widely through a financial services organization

  • The ability to work under pressure, multi-task and handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team as well as individually

  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while understanding big-picture concerns and risks

  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential
