Job Description

As a Corporate Trainer at Fischer Homes, you'll coordinate learning programs, facilitate engaging training, and create learning experiences that help Associates build confidence and perform at their best. You'll partner with leaders across the business, own learning initiatives from start to finish, and play an important role in developing our people and our culture.

You'll Thrive In This Role If You:

  • Find purpose in helping others learn, grow, and succeed.
  • Build trust quickly and enjoy collaborating with people across the organization.
  • Are energized by facilitating engaging learning experiences and connecting with diverse audiences.
  • Stay organized while balancing multiple projects, timelines, and priorities.
  • Take pride in creating polished, well-executed learning experiences.
  • Enjoy improving existing programs by finding practical ways to make them even better.
  • Adapt easily when priorities shift and approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset.

This Role Might Be Less Energizing If You Prefer:

  • Working independently more often than collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Limited interaction with people or presenting to groups.
  • Highly repetitive work with little variety in projects or priorities.
  • Roles focused primarily on sales, competition, or individual performance rather than coaching and developing others.
  • Minimal planning, coordination, or attention to detail.
  • Avoiding change or continuous improvement initiatives.

These skills will be used to:

  • Facilitate engaging instructor-led training for onboarding, Sales, Construction, Leadership Development, and other company learning programs.
  • Manage learning initiatives from planning through delivery, including scheduling, logistics, communications, materials, and follow-up.
  • Design, develop, and maintain presentations, eLearning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, and other learning resources.
  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and keep content accurate, relevant, and effective.
  • Manage multiple learning projects while balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support and maintain learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Coach Associates and reinforce company processes, expectations, and best practices.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve programs through feedback, observation, and business partnership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Communication, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, corporate training, adult education, or a related role.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience creating blended learning solutions.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a corporate work environment.
  • Experience supporting Sales or Construction training.
  • LMS administration experience.
  • Experience with Articulate 360, iSpring, or similar authoring tools.
  • Corporate L&D certification.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot.

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and walk on various types of terrain, including uneven surfaces, construction sites, and residential properties that may have mud, ruts, etc.
  • Must be able to utilize sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) and technology (i.e. cellphone) to effectively communicate with other Associates and customers.
  • Must be able to perform movements such as bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, etc.
