We are looking for a Tax Analyst with experience in US indirect tax compliance, particularly Sales and Use Tax, along with hands-on experience in tax technology, automation, ERP systems, Power BI, and data analytics. The role will be responsible for supporting recurring tax compliance activities while also driving process improvements, automation opportunities, and analytical initiatives within the tax function.

This position will report to UKG’s Senior Manager of Tax Operations, and can be based in either Weston Florida or Lowell Massachusetts on a hybrid basis. This position will also work closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Accounting, AP, Billing, Legal, IT, and Business Operations. Strong analytical skills, comfort with large data sets, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage OneSource Sales & Use Tax compliance and ensure accurate, timely US indirect tax filings.
  • Research and interpret tax laws covering nexus, taxability, exemptions, sourcing, and filing requirements.
  • Build Power BI dashboards, analyze tax data, and automate recurring compliance, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
  • Prepare tax reconciliations, journal entries, workpapers, and support audits, assessments, and statutory reporting.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, IT, and business teams to resolve tax issues and improve processes, controls, and reporting.

Qualifications –

Required

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in tax.
  • Four year degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Strong tax research skills, including the ability to interpret US federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, rulings, and administrative guidance.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modelling, visualization, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of OneSource or similar tax automation tools.
  • Experience preparing tax returns, reconciliations, workpapers, audit support schedules, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Experience using tax research platforms such as CCH, Bloomberg Tax, Checkpoint, or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of US indirect tax concepts, including taxability, nexus, exemptions, sourcing, and compliance requirements.

The pay range for this position is $56,800 to $65,000. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
