Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly sales and use tax returns
Collect and organize documentation for sales and use tax audits
Coordinate with third-party providers to support audit processes
Maintain accurate location and rate data in RatePoint software
Review property tax payment recommendations from third-party providers
Track property tax payments for accrual and reporting purposes
Prepare monthly property tax accruals and sales tax journal entries
Support various indirect tax projects and audits as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in sales tax and property tax compliance
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of numerical accuracy and data management skills
Proficient in Excel and comfortable learning new software tools
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently
High school diploma required; college degree preferred
Preferred Skills:
Experience with tax automation tools (e.g., RatePoint or similar)
Previous experience working with third-party tax service providers
Basic understanding of accounting principles related to tax
