Job Description

Engagement: Casual position offering variable hours on a flexible basis

Location: The City Ground, Nottingham, NG2 5FJ

Department: Safety & Security

Reporting to: Safety Officer

About the Role:

You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of security operations within the hospitality areas of Nottingham Forest Football Club. This includes following security policies and procedures, assisting with managing access control, and ensuring the safety of all club assets, employees, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a background in security, excellent observation skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring safety.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol hospitality areas, including VIP areas, lounges, and dining facilities.

  • Enforce security policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.

  • Assist with managing access control, including checking tickets and guest lists.

  • Provide security support during all hospitality events, including match days, private functions, and special events.

  • Coordinate with event management teams to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and VIPs.

  • Assist with crowd control and ensure orderly conduct of guests.

  • Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies within hospitality areas.

  • Assist with the resolution of incidents, ensuring a safe and effective outcome.

  • Report incidents to the Hospitality Security Manager and assist with incident documentation.

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, staff, and VIPs.

  • Assist guests with inquiries and directions, maintaining a helpful and professional demeanour.

  • Promote a culture of security awareness among guests and staff.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to hospitality security.

  • Maintain accurate records of security activities and incidents.

  • Assist with the preparation of security reports for senior management.

What are we looking for:

  • Previous experience in security, preferably within a hospitality or sports environment.

  • Knowledge of security systems and procedures.

  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g. SIA license) preferable.
