Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

Duties

  1. Provide high-level administrative and clerical support including inbox management, initiation and timely preparation of correspondence and reports, proofreading and document formatting, secretariat support and the referral of matters for action by appropriate staff.
  2. Assist with the end of month processing including payment processing and financial reporting for Audit Tasmania.
  3. Organise and schedule events, meetings, training and other appointments, including the arrangement of corporate functions, travel, accommodation and itineraries as required.
  4. Assist senior staff in their research and analysis of policies and procedures.
  5. Undertake project related tasks as assigned by senior staff.
  6. Assist in administering Audit Tasmania’s electronic document and records management system, resolving issues in accordance with established policies and procedures, and undertaking established quality assurance activities for records in the records management system.
  7. Assist with the recording, collection, analysis and dissemination of statistical data.
  8. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

Performance is measured against Key Performance Indicators that are developed and agreed to for each role in Audit Tasmania and documented in annual Performance Plans.

Pre-employment Checks

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following; Arson and fire setting; Violent crimes and crimes against the person; Sex-related offences; Crimes involving dishonesty; Crimes involving deception; Making false declarations; Malicious damage and destruction to property; Crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice; Crimes against Executive or the Legislative Power; Crimes involving Conspiracy.
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
  3. Identification check.

Desirable Requirements

A recognised Certificate III or higher qualification related to the responsibilities of the position.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel and Word.
