What does the Corporate Sector Coverage and Financial Institutions Coverage Team do in ING?
Corporate Sector Coverage and Financial Institutions Coverage represent the relationship team of ING.
As relationship managers, we cultivate long term relationships with our clients and leverage our deep understanding and knowledge of their needs and potential opportunities to offer a broad range of banking products.
We work closely with other teams in the bank, particularly product specialists (Financial Markets, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Specialized Lending, Lending, Transaction Services, etc.).
What would you be doing?
An intern in the coverage team will be expected to support/help/assist in:
preparing account plans, client briefs, strategy papers, presentation decks, sector/industry and market research and analysis, financial analysis, and other miscellaneous reports;
preparing and conducting Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and client due diligence (CDD), including onboarding of new clients, reviewing and researching on clients for due diligence, financial analysis, and identifying product opportunities;
executing transactions, including credit applications, as appropriate;
updating internal records and documents, and organizing records database;
organizing and preparing for client events; and
conducting other functions as deemed appropriate and instructed.
What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.
Can report to the office (at least 4x a week, Mon and Tue are mandatory office days).
Familiar with business software (Microsoft 360, including Copilot, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
Willing to learn and can work well with a team.
