Job Description

The Summer Student will support the Corporate Health & Safety team with a variety of administrative, communication, and project-based initiatives. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health and safety program administration, policy management, training development, auditing processes, and workplace safety communications. The successful candidate will assist with ongoing projects aimed at enhancing safety resources, improving accessibility of health and safety information, and supporting employee learning and compliance initiatives. This role will be based out of our Burlington office.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist with updating, formatting, and maintaining Health & Safety policies, manuals, and Safe Work Procedures.
• Support the development of bilingual safety resources, including document translation coordination and French Health & Safety page content updates.
• Prepare safety communications, including Safety Talks, bulletins, and awareness materials.
• Assist the Corporate Health & Safety team with monthly safety audits, documentation, and follow-up activities.
• Support the preparation and organization of training materials and content for the UKG Pro Learning platform transition.

Skills & Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Health & Safety, Business, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; French language skills are considered an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and document management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within a team.
