Job Location: Tampa HQ - Griston Claims Management - Tampa, FL 33619JOB SUMMARY
Member of the litigation team who attends mediations, depositions, hearings, and other activities as the company’s Corporate Representative. The Corporate Representative will provide complete and knowledgeable testimony on behalf of the company. This position will be expected to attend multiple depositions per week on litigated files. This will include a full review of the file, coordination with defense counsel for scheduling the deposition, and conference(s) with counsel for preparation for the deposition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage litigation files as assigned, including documenting diary systems and following company procedures
- Analyze policy coverages and claims handling
- Attend and assist with negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and other meetings as required
- Work with defense counsel in preparation of testimony
- Present files to management for evaluation and review
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Required Skills & Experience
- Prior experience as a Corporate Representative in depositions, trial, or mediation
- Insurance Claims experience: First Party Property insurance claims experience a must
- Effective negotiator
- Have knowledge of legal procedures and practices
- Flexibility to work nontraditional hours
- Meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Time management skills
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Three to five years of prior experience as a Corporate Representative
- Prior experience as a Corporate Representative in depositions, trial, or mediation
- Insurance Claims experience: First Party Property insurance claims experience a must
- Effective negotiator

EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- 6-20 license preferred or willingness to acquire license
