Position Scope
As a senior member of the recruitment team, the successful candidate will be focused on strategic talent acquisition for corporate and staff positions within NACG’s group of companies.This position focuses on the recruitment of salary, and non-union hourly positions and will partner with various internal departments including corporate accounting, operations, information technology, support services, estimating, procurement, quality assurance, and safety recruiting for roles from Senior Managment to individual contributors.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with divisional leaders and hiring managers to lead the full cycle recruitment process, including job advertisements, applications, screenings, interviews, selection process, offer process, and onboarding.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver trusted, value-added recruitment strategies and support.
- Develop and implement innovative and strategic recruitment initiatives.
- Provide a qualified candidate pool by sourcing, identifying and recruiting candidates to fill current and upcoming job openings in the region.
- Create a positive and inclusive candidate experience.
- Partner with internal divisional leaders to develop an understanding of current and future workforce needs and provide guidance on how to proceed.
- Anticipate challenges and recommend solutions accordingly.
- Maintain complete and accurate recruitment documentation as required within the ATS system (iCIMS).
- Research best practices and emerging trends within the recruitment industry.
- Source passive candidates to build a network of qualified individuals for current and future openings.
- Design employment advertisements, post jobs, follow-up on employee referrals, research organizations or retain search firms as appropriate.
- Manage NACG’s robust Co-op Program by leading 3 student intakes a year.
- Attend university and college campus, trade school, and community job fairs to develop candidate pool as required.
- Ensure all policies, guidelines, and practices are followed. Other duties as directed.
Qualifications
What Makes You the ONE
- Five to eight years’ experience related to recruitment and selection.
- Union environment exposure will be an asset but isn't necessary.
- Experience within the construction industry is highly desirable.
- University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) or CHRP designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working with iCIMS or other large, web-based ATS’s is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with sourcing, selection and staffing strategies, programs, vendors and tools.
- Strong sourcing skills using platforms and tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Boolean search techniques, and Google.
- Understanding of workforce-related provincial employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to forge, grow, and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiations skills.
- Superior customer service inclination.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally travel as required.
