Ready to shape the spaces where innovation happens? Join Hitachi Energy as a senior leader as a Corporate Real Estate Sr. CAPEX Project Manager (Construction) and take ownership of large, complex capital expansion and new construction initiatives that directly support business growth and organizational effectiveness
In this role, you’ll plan, direct, and oversee end-to-end design and construction delivery—balancing scope, schedule, and budget while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, connecting strategy to execution and ensuring every project is built on strong planning, disciplined controls, and proactive risk management.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys strategic thinking and detailed analysis, thrives in collaborative environments, and can influence decisions across multiple levels of an organization. You’ll apply construction best practices, uphold quality standards, and champion health, safety, and environmental expectations—while driving projects from pre-planning through closeout and post-completion activities.
How you’ll make an impact
Lead project planning and strategy with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Direct and oversee third-party partners to deliver milestones on time and within budget.
Build annual capital investment budgets, including next‑year project cost estimates.
Own estimating, plan development, scheduling, and project documentation (scope, financials, risk plans).
Secure budget approvals using internal tools and processes.
Drive execution controls: manage risks, apply mitigation plans, and ensure adherence to best practices and policies.
Ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, safety standards, and complete closeout to guidelines.
Serve as key client contact and escalation point; strengthen stakeholder and vendor relationships through clear communication.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your back-ground
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 15+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and demonstrated achievements, preferably Certification on PM or PMP)
Proven success delivering construction and capital projects/programs with strong execution discipline.
Deep knowledge of corporate real estate construction for new facilities and facility modifications, including HSE expectations.
Strong financial acumen in construction/capital projects (including depreciation/amortization) and ability to build analyses and reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and advanced capability in MS Project (or similar tools).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, construction-related tools, and reporting tools that support project oversight.
