Job Description

Corporate Quality Organization Specialist -18167

The Corporate Quality Organization Specialist will ensure that AARs Vendor Management Program is properly maintained and documented, will maintain the records / risk status of current vendors, will communicate vendor status to participating AAR business units and will perform internal audits on AAR departments to ensure AAR is adhering to its policy and documented procedures.

This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Wood Dale, IL, with a planned relocation to the Merchandise Mart (Chicago) in early 2027.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Receiving and processing vendor requests from business units.
  • Accomplishing vendor approvals, both initial and recurrent, to include Sending Postal Audits to potential vendor(s); Receiving, reviewing, and scoring returned postal audits and on-site audits to determine acceptability of vendor(s)
  • Notifying participating business units of added vendors
  • Managing the annual vendor audit schedule to determine need for requalification of vendors
  • Maintaining vendor files by entering all associated surveys, on-site records, and other associated vendor data into IMOPS
  • Monitoring the overall purchase activity of vendors
  • Coordinating with the Quality department to address and obtain resolution on significant vendor issues identified by participating business units
  • Notifying business units of significant issues associated with current vendors
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and follow up of Internal Audits
  • Participate in the execution, and follow up of 3rd party and Customer Audits
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Familiarity working with ERP systems
  • Proficiency with desktop Microsoft applications to include the ability to maintain databases in Excel
  • Proficiency with Adobe
  • Ability to focus on details and perform all required functions with accuracy
  • Self-motivated/self-directed
  • Ability to work/coordinate with multiple departments/multiple locations
  • Advanced computer proficiency
  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), ISO 9000, and AS91XX standards.
  • Aviation experience preferred.
  • PC literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,300 to $78,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. [In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus.] AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
