Department Overview

The President Office plays a central role in driving the Commerce & Marketing Company's management, primarily in three areas: "strategy formulation," "performance management," and "organizational operations." This includes developing mid-term business plans, managing the company's overall performance, controlling budgets versus actuals, and promoting organizational revitalization.

In carrying out our duties, we collaborate with a wide range of departments both within the company (various business units, back office, development, etc.) and outside the company (company-wide corporate divisions, other companies, etc.)

In addition to fundamental management control (performance management, budget management, etc.), this position carries critical missions related to the core management of the C&M Company, such as business portfolio strategy planning that surveys over 30 diverse businesses, optimal resource allocation to growth businesses, and monetization of new businesses.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in driving business transformation firsthand across a wide range of business areas, with over 30 diverse businesses, while working closely with management.

You will be involved in a wide range of tasks that contribute to the sustainable growth and development of the company, working in close collaboration with top management.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Formulation: Developing mid-term business plans, improving unprofitable businesses, considering productivity enhancement measures, etc.
- Performance Management: Budget-vs-actual management utilizing AI/BI, exploring cost optimization measures, etc.
- Organizational Operations: Sharing best practices across the organization, promoting company-wide collaboration, and driving internal projects within the company, etc.

There will be frequent opportunities to collaborate closely with the Company President, heads of various business units, and management divisions through activities such as progress reviews of mid-term plans and performance reviews. You will also frequently coordinate with external corporate divisions.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Professional/Industry Experience: At least 3 years of practical experience in corporate planning or business planning at an operating company, or as a strategy consultant at a strategic consulting firm. Industry experience is not a strict requirement, but experience at companies with diversified business operations is welcome.

Skills/Experience
- Logical Thinking: Ability to structure complex problems, identify root causes, and derive solutions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to independently hypothesize, verify, and formulate/promote concrete action plans even for undefined challenges.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build smooth relationships and achieve consensus with diverse stakeholders, from management to front-line staff.
- Document Creation Skills: Ability to create clear and concise documents for management.
- Language Proficiency: Japanese: Business level (reading, writing, and speaking)

Desired Qualifications:

- Professional/Industry Experience: Experience in launching new businesses or planning and executing internal projects. Experience in diverse business models and market environments, not limited to a specific industry.

Skills/Experience
- Advanced Data Analysis Skills: Experience in analyzing large-scale data using BI tools and statistical analysis tools, as well as predictive modeling.
- Knowledge and practical experience in management accounting.
- Certifications/Other: MBA (Master of Business Administration) holder, or equivalent advanced business knowledge. Specialized management qualifications such as a Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultant.
