The 12 months fixed-term contract position will be based in Singapore. Your internal counterparts will be based all across South East Asia and in France. TotalEnergies Renewables Singapore hub counts about 100 people of all horizons, jobs and ethnicities.

The legal team in TotalEnergies Renewables, APAC situated in Singapore is looking to hire a Corporate Paralegal to form part of the Legal Department of the TotalEnergies Renewables Singapore hub and lead the other paralegals of the hub.
Specific scope of work will include:
· Liaising with and leading the other paralegals of the hub;
· Assistance of the Legal Counsels in administrative and corporate secretarial tasks;
· Assistance in the corporate activities of the hub including preparation and management of directors’ resolutions, shareholder resolutions, meeting minutes, and other corporate documentation;
· Assistance in the creation of new legal entities and/or M&A processes (creation of JVs, project or company acquisitions, consortiums, and/or other types of partnerships);
· Coordination with external law firms, external corporate secretaries, and internal legal resources across the region; and
· Help in management and archiving of contracts, contractual documents and/or official documents;
all of which will be done under the supervision of the Legal Counsels and in coordination with the other departments of the hub (finance, project finance, project development).
While working under the supervision of the Legal Counsels in the Renewables APAC legal team at all times, the Corporate Paralegal will have daily links with all departments within the hub, as well as a number of other departments at the Company headquarters in France (Paris). Externally, the Corporate Paralegal will also have daily links with external law firms and counsels, as well as corporate secretary companies and official executants such as Notary Public.
She/He will have a strong capacity to organise herself/himself, and work in a timely, efficient and proactive manner, and to innovate in execution to meet internal requirements and deadlines. She/He must have corporate affairs and corporate governance awareness.
· Diploma in Law and Management, Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies, preferably with a focus on corporate/company law.
· Professional Track: Completed corporate secretarial examinations (e.g., CSIS/MAICSA) or holds a relevant local legal qualification.
· Jurisdictional Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Singapore Companies Act and practical experience dealing with ACRA. Familiarity with company laws and filing systems in other SEA countries (e.g., SSM in Malaysia, OSS in Indonesia) is highly advantageous.
· Minimum of 4-year previous experience within a law firm or a legal or corporate secretarial professional services company required.
Technical: prior experience of corporate structuring /restructuring within a law firm or a corporation will be an advantage.
Character: Proactivity, innovative spirit, organisational and methodical skills will be required for this position.
Languages:
· English: full professional proficiency required.
· Mandarin Chinese, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, and / or Japanese considered a plus.
