Corporate Legal Counsel - fluent Hungarian

Your main tasks will be:

  • Provide counsel on an array of statutory and regulatory compliance issues applying knowledge of law, business and facts to the legal aspects of the business.
  • Review, edit and draft contract documents as assigned; including servicing, confidentiality, vendor/supplier, licensing and dispute resolution agreements.
  • Provide legal support in debt collection
  • Assist in litigation matters including but not limited to; settlement negotiation and coordination of outside counsel
  • Provide support as a general resource for various business units as assigned
  • Track and stay current on legislative and case law changes impacting various business lines
  • Analyze, review, and modify business policy and procedures as assigned to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes, regulations, and applicable case law.
  • Assists in legal issues analysis, research and opinion memoranda as required

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • 2-3 years’ experience of relevant legal counsel experience
  • Extensive familiarity with, bankruptcy, civil law, employment law. Competition law and data protection law is a plus
  • Strong business acumen with a business-oriented approach to problem solving, tempered by an appreciation for legal complexity, ethics and risk
  • Desire to pro-actively engage in risk mitigation strategies and to create tools and processes to help the businesses perform more effectively while mitigating risk
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-past environment
  • Proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent English knowledge
