The Role

Reporting to the Manager – Corporate Finance, The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the financial reporting requirements for a number of subsidiary companies and the Corporate Services divisions of CBH Group.

A strong understanding and the application of current accounting standards is therefore critical. In addition, you will have the opportunity to play an important role in streamlining and improving existing models and reporting processes.

Responsibilities include

  • Completion of the subsidiaries monthly reporting requirements. Preparation of forecast and budgeting for subsidiary entities
  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report for the CBH Group and facilitate the audit through external auditors
  • Support accounting for Corporate Services division and assist with ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to the business on accounting policy issues to ensure CBH Group compliance.

About you

  • A tertiary degree in accounting and qualified Chartered Accountant or similar.
  • Technical accounting competence, coupled with statutory reporting compliance experience.
  • Strong analytical ability and financial reconciliation skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP system, Ideally with SAP and Oracle EPM.
  • Proven previous experience working with a large audit firm, ideally together with commercial experience.
  • Intermediate to Advance Excel skills, including a working knowledge of data cleansing/shaping techniques including Power query/ Power pivot.
