Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Corporate Finance Intern for Summer 2027. This position works for approximately 37.5 hours per week.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Finance team in automating our current Excel-based financial models into interactive and dynamic dashboards using AI. This intern will gain hands-on experience in financial analytics, data visualization, and dashboard automation while working alongside cross-functional teams.

The goal of this project is to develop a user-friendly dashboard that begins at the global summary level and enables drill-down capabilities by region, expense categories, and account-level details. The opportunity to evaluate and potentially build an agent for automation and chatbots will also look to be incorporated. The dashboard will also incorporate headcount data and visualizations displaying various other views of information.

To ensure timely progress and successful delivery, the intern will participate in weekly touchpoints to discuss project status, review completed milestones, and plan future deliverables. These regular check-ins will help ensure the project remains on track and is completed within the allocated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Convert the existing Excel financial model into an automated, interactive AI dashboard.
• Understand and learn how to build solutions with co-pilot and ChatGPT
• Design and build visualizations to show financial trends (YoY, QoQ), LE changes, and headcount by region.
• Develop drill-down capabilities from global totals to regional expense categories and account-level details.
• Integrate expense and headcount data into a centralized, user-friendly dashboard.
• Ensure data accuracy, source mapping, and alignment with finance reporting standards.
• Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, and IT/Data teams to understand requirements and validate outputs.
• Document data sources, dashboard logic, and user guidance for future enhancements or handoff.
• Present progress updates and final deliverables to Finance leadership.

Qualifications

Education & Enrollment:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling).
• Basic to intermediate experience with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and experience building solutions with ChatGPT.
• Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and expense categories.
• Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data accuracy.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills—both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power Query, DAX, or data modeling in PowerBI.
• Familiarity with headcount reporting or FP&A processes.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or data integration methods.
