Job Description

Eaton Corporate is hiring a Regional Finance Controller in Shanghai, China

What you’ll do:

1. Greater China Controllership Governance & Accountability
-Lead and oversee country-level controllership activities across Greater China, covering legal entities and branch operations.
-Drive governance and accountability across controllership processes.
-Accountable for compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory, regulatory, and Eaton policy requirements.

2. Strategic Business Partnership & Executive Advisory
-Partner with global, regional, and local finance and business leaders to shape controllership priorities, governance plans, risk mitigation actions, and strategic initiative support.
-Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and governance recommendations to support senior leadership decision-making.
-Translate business strategy and organizational changes into financial, statutory, control, tax, treasury, and compliance implications.

3. Legal Entity, Statutory, Audit & Compliance Leadership
-Lead Greater China legal entity simplification and governance initiatives, including restructuring, liquidation, integration, branch optimization, spin-offs, and carve-outs.

4. Finance Transformation, Process Excellence & Risk Mitigation
-Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost management for Regional Headquarters, support forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting, etc.
-Lead corporate finance-owned implementation projects, system upgrades, standardization, and transformation initiatives across Greater China.
-Champion digital transformation initiatives by leveraging technology, data, and automation to elevate organizational performance.

5. People Leadership & Organizational Capability
-Lead, coach, and develop the Corporate Finance team to build technical capability, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

MBA, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
+15 years in controllership, accounting. Demonstrated experience leading complex multi-entity finance governance, statutory reporting, audit, and compliance activities.
Proven experience partnering with senior finance and business leaders on strategic initiatives, organization restructuring, transformation programs, or business investments.
Deep expertise in Greater China statutory reporting, strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, compliance requirements, and legal entity governance, and finance transformation initiatives. With working knowledge of Taiwan statutory regulations considered a strong advantage.

Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
Ability to influence diverse senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial matters effectively.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and provide expert guidance in ambiguous and highly complex business situations.
High level of ownership and accountability.
