CharteredPartners is seeking a Corporate Finance & Advisory Partner to lead and grow the deal practice of a prominent accounting firm in Hong Kong. This is a senior origination and leadership mandate with responsibility for a profit-and-loss account, business development and the delivery of complex transactions across one of the world's largest IPO and cross-border M&A markets. You will set the practice's strategic direction, lead capital-markets and advisory engagements, and build the team and client relationships that sustain long-term growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Originate and win corporate finance & advisory mandates, building a pipeline of M&A, capital-markets and IPO-related engagements across Hong Kong and Greater China.
• Own the practice profit-and-loss account, setting strategy, budgets and growth targets and accounting for financial performance.
• Lead the delivery of complex transactions, including China and cross-border M&A, IPO sponsor and listing-related work, and capital raising.
• Act as the firm's senior relationship holder for clients, boards and intermediaries, maintaining trusted long-term partnerships.
• Build, mentor and lead a multidisciplinary deal team, recruiting and developing directors, managers and executives.
• Oversee technical quality and risk management across engagements, including listing-rules due diligence and HKFRS-aligned analysis.
• Represent the firm in the market through thought leadership, intermediary networks and industry profile.
• Engage with the SFC and HKEX requirements that shape sponsor and capital-markets work.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification (HKICPA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) in good standing.
• Extensive post-qualification experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory or capital markets, including time at partner, director or equivalent level.
• A demonstrable record of originating and leading M&A, IPO or capital-markets transactions in Hong Kong or Greater China.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven profit-and-loss or practice-leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of HKEX listing rules, SFC requirements and the sponsor regulatory regime.
• Fluency in HKFRS and IFRS as applied to transactions and listed entities.
• An established network among corporates, private equity, banks and professional intermediaries in the region.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Confident written and verbal communication in English; Cantonese and Mandarin are advantageous.
• The right to work in Hong Kong or eligibility to obtain the relevant employment visa.

Preferred Experience:

• Significant exposure to China and cross-border M&A and inbound and outbound deal flow.
• A track record of IPO sponsor or listing-advisory work on HKEX.
• Experience building or scaling a corporate finance practice or service line.
• Established relationships with private equity sponsors and capital providers across Greater China.
• Sector specialism in areas such as technology, financial services, consumer or industrials.
• A reputation in the market that supports business development and team recruitment.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
