Job Description – Corporate Development & Market Strategy Intern

Location: Toronto/US (Hybrid preferred; Remote considered)
Program Duration: Summer 2026
Minimum Educational Req: MBA or senior undergraduate (Business, Finance, Economics, Strategy)
We are seeking a highly analytical and curious intern to support a broad market expansion study focused on identifying where Career Certified should expand over the next 5–10 years — across new professions, adjacent education and credentialing services, and new geographies.
The mandate includes identifying potential acquisition targets and asset classes that could accelerate expansion.
Responsibilities
• Identify adjacent regulated professions with attractive growth profiles
• Evaluate adjacent educational, credentialing, and professional services aligned with our core model
• Assess expansion into new countries and regions
• Research licensing, certification, and CE requirements across jurisdictions
• Size market opportunities (TAM/SAM) across verticals and geographies
• Analyze labor forecasts, macroeconomic trends, and demographic drivers
• Map competitive landscapes domestically and internationally
• Identify fragmented markets and potential acquisition targets
• Develop scoring frameworks to prioritize vertical, geographic, and M&A opportunities
• Prepare executive-ready strategic recommendations

What to Expect:
• Week 1: Onboarding, setup, goal-setting with your manager, and team introductions
• Weeks 2-3: Daily check-ins to ensure you're adjusting well and have the support you need
• Throughout Program: Weekly 1:1s with your manager for coaching, feedback, and milestone tracking
• Final Weeks: Performance review, support building your Internship Report, and leadership presentation
