Visit Victoria is the primary tourism and events company for the State of Victoria. We inspire people around the world to visit Melbourne and regional Victoria through creative storytelling and enriching events. Our role is to drive visitation and expenditure through destination marketing and a strong pipeline of major, regional and business events to support the visitor economy - creating, converting and connecting demand. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, the Corporate Counsel provides practical, commercially focused legal advice across Visit Victoria and Melbourne Convention Bureau.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll support a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, from reviewing and negotiating agreements through to privacy, intellectual property, compliance and major organisational projects.
This is a varied in-house role where you’ll build strong relationships across the business and provide timely, solutions-focused advice that supports sound decision-making.
You are a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and translating complex legal issues into clear, practical advice. You are comfortable managing competing priorities, approaching unfamiliar matters with curiosity and sound judgement, and building trusted relationships across different areas of a business.
