JOB SUMMARY:
The Controller position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required):
- Be a business partner to Operations, Sales, and Marketing and provide data necessary to run the business and make informed decisions.
- Assist and support budgeting and forecasting processes along with FP&A.
- Take ownership of the cost accounting function.
- Implement a consistent consolidated process for updating and maintaining standard costs.
- Manage monthly cost center reporting and variance analysis to assist cost control.
- Supervise and review raw materials inventory for foreign manufacturing locations as well as finished goods inventory for distribution centers.
- Partner with Transactional Services Manager to manage cash and factor relationships and maintain the company cash forecasting model.
- Acquire a detailed knowledge of all ERP accounting and financial reporting functions. Become a resource to other departments on tracking and reporting data.
- Identify and implement process and operational improvement opportunities, including the monthly close processes for all locations.
- Supervise the monthly financial statement consolidation of multiple international locations.
- Oversee the monthly general ledger account analysis and reconciliation process.
- Evaluate, implement and document accounting processes and internal controls.
- Lead the preparation for and completion of annual financial statement audit.
- Assist in special projects, including acquisitions and the related integration.
- Manage and comply with local and state government reporting requirements and tax filings.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing and/or distribution.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and cost accounting.
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong work ethic and managerial skills.
- Attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, great multi-tasking skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office environment or remotely from home.
WORK HOURS:
- Full-Time; usually Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
