Corporate Communications Manager

Reports To: Senior Manager, Corporate Communications

Location: Plano, Texas

Department: Marketing Communications

Position Summary

The Corporate Communications Manager plays a critical role in shaping and protecting the company's reputation through strategic external communications, media relations, executive communications, and corporate storytelling. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications, this position supports enterprise priorities by developing compelling narratives that strengthen brand reputation, increase trust, and highlight the company's business strategy, purpose, culture, and impact.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic thinker, and communications counselor who can translate complex business topics into clear, engaging content for media, external stakeholders, and executive audiences. This individual will work cross-functionally with leaders across Marketing, Legal, Operations, Merchandising, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging that advances Catalyst Brands’ objectives and enhances the company's profile.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the development and execution of integrated corporate communications strategies aligned with company priorities and business objectives.

· Ensure consistency of messaging across external communications channels.

· Support development of press releases, media statements, talking points, and other external communications materials and help with proactive media outreach that generates positive coverage and strengthens company reputation.

· Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interview opportunities with company spokespeople.

· Monitor media trends, coverage, and industry developments, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

· Monitor emerging issues, industry trends, and stakeholder sentiment that could impact the company's reputation.

· Support development of messaging and communications materials to address sensitive or complex business matters.

· Assist with crisis and issues management planning, including holding statements, media responses, stakeholder communications, and preparedness exercises.

· Develop content for corporate websites, newsroom platforms, executive channels, earned media opportunities, and industry recognition programs.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.

· 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, public affairs, or related communications functions.

· Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio of executive, media, and corporate communications work.

· Demonstrated experience managing media relations and generating earned media opportunities.

· Experience supporting executive communications and senior leadership visibility.

· Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Ability to navigate complex and sensitive business situations with sound judgment and professionalism.

· Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

Pay Range

USD $81,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
