The Business Analyst consults with business subject matter experts and technology resources to identify, prioritize, document, and manage business requirements for the Hotel or Casino business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document business processes, review and validate test plans, support user acceptance testing, and track/manage requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify and understand the business problem and the impact of the proposed solution on operations of the organization.
  • Document the solution scope including objectives, added value and benefit expectations.
  • Identify and assess the impact of the solution on all project stakeholders.
  • Analyse and document current business processes and functional requirements.
  • Review impacted business processes and work with business stakeholders to identify and make business process improvements that result in cost savings, higher quality, increased efficiencies, lower risk, and shorter cycle times.
  • Leading and facilitating requirements gathering workshops and discussions with IT and various business stakeholders (including marketing, front of house and back of house);
  • Develop a clear set of requirements that are complete and understood by technology resources and business stakeholders.
  • Manage requirements and associated changes to the requirements through the project lifecycle.
  • Track and manage requirements traceability throughout the systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Review, analyse, and create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs.
  • Deliver on assigned project tasks within time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Lead and manage stakeholder understanding of the implications of changes to existing applications, systems, and/or processes.
  • Facilitate cost and effort estimation sessions with developers and third-party solution providers; and
  • Support QA and UAT processes through validation of test planning and execution.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in process mapping, business requirements analysis and documentation, data mapping and test planning


Experience

  • Experience working with collaboration tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Teams


Other Prerequisites

  • Familiarity with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of software development process methodologies like RUP and / or Agile and use case modelling.
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively manage and execute multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, both written and verbally
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Hotel or Casino industry.
