Responsibilities

Enterprise BIM Governance

  • Maintain and continuously improve the corporate BIM Execution Plan (BxP) templates to align with project requirements, client expectations, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and manage Level of Development (LOD) matrices across all engineering disciplines.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise BIM governance frameworks, ensuring consistent adoption of standards, interoperability, and digital delivery practices across all projects, disciplines, and delivery partners.
  • Establish and enforce BIM standards, workflows, quality assurance procedures, and digital delivery best practices across the organization.
  • Review and audit BIM models for compliance with project specifications, client standards, industry codes, and corporate requirements.
  • Monitor BIM performance metrics, project milestones, and model quality standards while regularly reporting progress to leadership teams.

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Lead the creation, governance, and management of BIM models, including project setup, 3D modeling, clash detection, model validation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Lead BIM coordination efforts by facilitating coordination meetings, managing clash detection workflows, producing structured clash detection reports and metrics, and driving issue resolution to ensure measurable reduction of design conflicts and fully coordinated deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering leaders, designers, clients, contractors, and key stakeholders to define and govern BIM execution strategies, workflow integration frameworks, and digital delivery standards across project lifecycles.
  • Lead BIM management initiatives and develop systems for maintaining digital facility models throughout project and operational lifecycles.
  • Develop and optimize workflows between Autodesk platforms including Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Forma, and Navisworks Manage.

Technical Leadership & Enablement

  • Develop, organize, and maintain Revit family content, parametric components, and AutoCAD block libraries utilizing Autodesk Content Catalog standards.
  • Create and manage Revit models while mentoring staff on efficient, standardized, and scalable modeling techniques.
  • Perform regular model health assessments to ensure compliance with established Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD integration processes.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Forma, and ProjectWise environments.
  • Develop and deliver BIM training programs focused on software proficiency, digital delivery frameworks, and interdisciplinary coordination practices.
  • Provide direct “over-the-shoulder” mentoring and technical coaching to accelerate BIM proficiency, reinforce standardized workflows, and elevate organizational modeling and coordination capability.

Innovation & Digital Transformation

  • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging BIM/VDC technologies, automation tools, and industry innovations.
  • Drive BIM management initiatives and develop systems for maintaining digital facility models throughout project and operational lifecycles.
  • Define and drive the organization’s long-term BIM and digital delivery roadmap, including automation, data-driven workflows, and emerging digital engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering design, BIM coordination, or digital project delivery within the AEC industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing BIM standards, workflows, teams, or multidisciplinary coordination initiatives.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with BIM management and process piping design.
  • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk software platforms including Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk Forma.
  • Strong understanding of process piping layout, design principles, constructability, and installation practices.
  • Working knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP design principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-disciplinary BIM initiatives in complex project environments.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop standards, improve workflows, and drive organizational efficiency through BIM technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and BIM best practices, including BIMForum Level of Development (LOD) Specifications.
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, and results-driven professional with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the planning and detailed design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success leading digital delivery initiatives for large, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Experience with automation and advanced BIM technologies including Dynamo, Python scripting, and IMAGINiT Clarity.
  • Experience with LiDAR scanning workflows, Autodesk ReCap, and point cloud integration.
  • Professional BIM certification or equivalent industry credentials.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related technical or engineering field.

Compensation Range

$120,640 to $131,040 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
