Impact Statement

Global Credit Finance (GCF) Loan Operations provides operational support for several GCF products within Finance.

Loan Servicing Unit (LSU) Associate is needed to service credit facilities on the Bank’s loan accounting system(s), process related cash transfers and perform reconcilements/exception report reviews.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review transactional documentation and process principal, interest and fee transactions on loan accounting system
  • Initiate cash movements via internal transfer and Fed wire/SWIFT
  • Reconcile general ledger/demand deposit accounts; document discrepancies timely
  • Analyze and research exception items for resolution
  • Maintain Letters of Credit
  • Manage interest and fee logs
  • Provide client support and respond to client queries
  • Be the SME - Handle complex Process related queries and clarifications from the Team members and route these to onshore teams for resolution if required
  • Have an eye for detail to ensure all documents are processed and reviewed correctly
  • Implement a robust Knowledge Management model including maintenance of SOPs, process/policy change management, training of new joiners and ongoing training of existing team; drive 100% compliance to procedures, policies, guidelines and controls
  • Ensure timely escalation to the management as and when required
  • Motivate and support the Team Members to meet their Goals and Objectives.
  • Be self-motivated and flexible with working hours
  • Identify and drive changes to processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency; identify alternatives, options and different ways of looking at issues/problems and to seek alternative scenarios

Required Skills or Certifications

  • Overall 8-10 years of experience in Loan Operations (Bilateral, Agented and Non Agented.
  • General understanding of accounting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize under tight deadlines

Success Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar
  • Candidates with knowledge of loan systems like Loan IQ will hold an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills necessary
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to perform general analysis of credit documentation
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish tasks
  • Strong focus on the customer experience
  • Able to build strong, open & collaborative working relationships
  • Should be comfortable with Bangalore location
  • Should be open with all shifts (Including Night Shifts)
