In support of the firm’s expansion, DRW is seeking a Corporate Actions Associate to join and bolster the Global Trading Operations team. This role will be critical in establishing an efficient and respected global team that will serve as the firm’s main point of contact for Corporate Action processing and related inquiries. This position presents a unique opportunity to work directly with product managers and technology to build out a new sophisticated Corporate Actions system to meet the firm’s daily operational and front office research-based needs. The ideal candidate is an independent, detail-oriented, and reliable problem solver with a track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing risk.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary support contact for daily Corporate Actions operations and research
• Review and validate all global dividend, mandatory, and voluntary event details within DRW’s event management system and swiftly resolve outstanding exceptions and risk
• Collaborate with team members globally to oversee all entitlement and liability processing, consult with technology partners to resolve any daily exceptions
• Monitor and process all upcoming voluntary corporate action elections in timely fashion
• Reconcile all corporate action entitlements against prime broker & custodian reports
• Act as a firm subject matter expert to investigate and respond to inquiries from internal trading desks, technology, and other internal and external stakeholders promptly
• Partner closely with DRW’s technology teams to enhance daily operations: assist in the firm’s event management build and appropriate testing, define system logic to automate entitlement bookings & adjustments, provide clear requirements to improve reconciliation efforts, etc.
• Assist with team’s global evolving risk and coverage model – suggest new methods and controls to ensure smooth processing and quick resolution of all events and entitlements

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of relevant corporate action experience, preferably across all regions/markets
• Solid understanding of each corporate action type & its respective lifecycle and nuance
• Direct experience with Corporate Action vendor data and prime broker portals preferred
• Working knowledge of equity instrument reference data preferred
• Proven experience working in an operational project setting to drive measurable results
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with various stakeholders throughout the firm
• Reliable team player who can manage both day to day operations & project support

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
