About your team

As part of Fidelity International’s drive to set up an internal corporate access function and to source more access directly with corporates & expert speakers, an opportunity has arisen to join Fidelity International’s dedicated corporate access team in Asia, based in Hong-Kong. The Corporate Access team’s responsibility is to implement FIL’s corporate access strategy in Asia and deliver targeted corporate access initiatives to support FIL’s investment ideas. The Corporate Access team work closely with all internal (Investment Professionals) and external (issuers, brokers, third party providers) constituencies for corporate access. The main purpose of the team will be to leverage Fidelity International’s scale and brand name to facilitate direct engagement with corporates and expert speakers and to work closely with FIL’s investment team to deliver corporate access products internally. Another important aspect of the team’s role will be to put in place relevant processes and best practices to have a more co-ordinated and efficient approach to managing facilitated corporate access across the region.

About your role

The Corporate Access Associate will be responsible for:

Strategy planning & Execution

  • Organize bespoke events that support Fidelity’s Investment Professionals’ own investment ideas, drawing on Fidelity’s relationship with corporates and expert speakers.
  • Work with Fidelity’s co-ordinators to schedule corporate access events (meetings, fieldtrips etc.) for Investment Professionals.
  • Be the guardian of information regarding broker-led events (non-deal roadshows, conferences, trips), ensuring that the corporate access databases are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Help put in place internal and external communication channels and processes to streamline the flow of access and events advertised by brokers and consumed internally.
  • Bring to bear internal resources to create and update a central database of public and private companies as well as industry experts.

Relationship building and maintaining with Corporates & Corporate Access Providers

  • Develop a direct and on-going dialogue with the Investor Relations departments of targeted corporates with a view to maximize access to the senior management of the corporates.
  • Contribute to raising the profile of Fidelity International as an investor in the region through direct interaction with the corporates.
  • Manage the relationship with brokers and other external corporate access providers in a coordinated fashion.

Tracking and Reporting

  • Help to define the technology requirements for corporate access and work with Fidelity’s technology team to implement an end-to-end technology solution.
  • For all FIL-scoured & facilitated meeting and events, ensure discussion topics and attendees are maintained in relevant database.
  • Generate weekly and monthly corporate access reports regarding PMs and analysts corporate access activity.
  • Manage the contact database of key FIL investee companies and industry expert etc.
  • Manage corporate access budget and monitor the payment to corporate access provider / facilitator.
  • Work closely with internal compliance to ensure tracking mechanism to present data required for compliance purpose.

About you

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Keen interest in the finance markets
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to details and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as a proactive and dedicated team member
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to manipulate data
  • English skill is essential. Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean is an advantage
  • Relevant corporate access working experience is preferred
